he Bartemus Ammblin Prairie Adventure Series was created by Jeffrey Scott Bishop. Bishop has published several articles in professional trade (music education) magazines and books. The Prairie Adventure Series is his first work of fiction.

A sought-after composer of educational music, his works for band and orchestra have been commissioned by ensembles all across the United States. He was the 1997 winner of the National School Orchestra Association Composition Contest with his "Symphony for Strings No. 1."

An amateur musicologist, Bishop also devotes much time to the study of the music of Jonathan C. Buxtorarenbatombach. He is the outstanding authority on the music of this great Critter composer, having discovered and edited many of the Badger's works.
